Terms of Service
Last updated: July 14, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of SnapMuse, a bookmark and note assistant for video creators. By creating an account or using SnapMuse, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. The Service
SnapMuse is a personal inspiration-management and light AIGC workspace. It lets you save public video metadata into boards, generate AI-assisted analysis (such as hook analysis, emotion curves, and remix scripts), transcribe public video audio into text, and export your notes.
SnapMuse is a bookmark and note tool. It does not download, host, or redistribute copyrighted videos or audio. It processes only objective, publicly available metadata and generates original, AI-assisted notes for your personal creative workflow.
2. Accounts and Eligibility
- You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) to use SnapMuse.
- You sign in using Google. You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for all activity under your account.
- You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree that you will NOT:
- Use SnapMuse to download, reproduce, or redistribute copyrighted video or audio content in violation of any third party’s rights.
- Violate the terms of service of any third-party platform (such as TikTok, Instagram, or YouTube) or attempt to collect private or personal data through SnapMuse.
- Attempt to bypass usage quotas, security controls, rate limits, or authentication.
- Use the service for unlawful, infringing, harassing, or abusive purposes, or to generate content that violates applicable law.
- Reverse engineer, resell, or build a competing product using SnapMuse’s outputs in bulk without authorization.
4. Subscriptions, Quotas, and Billing
- SnapMuse offers a free tier and paid subscriptions. Quota is consumed by two actions, each costing 1 credit: ① "Analyze Video" (code `transcript`) — the server calls the Supadata transcript text API to fetch the transcript (no audio/video bytes are ever downloaded; no LLM is invoked); ② "Generate Script" (code `SCRIPT_GEN`) — generates the structured report via LLM. Metadata extraction is free and does not consume quota.
- Prices vary by region under a purchasing-power-parity (PPP) model and are shown at checkout. Paid plans renew automatically for the applicable period (weekly, monthly, or annual) until cancelled.
- Payments are processed by our payment provider, Creem, acting as Merchant of Record. Applicable taxes may be added.
- You can cancel at any time; cancellation stops future renewals and takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
- All paid fees are non-refundable except where required by applicable law (for example, mandatory consumer withdrawal or refund rights that cannot be excluded). SnapMuse currently operates a no-refund policy; where a refund is required by law or handled by our payment provider (Creem), it will be processed accordingly.
5. Your Content
You retain ownership of the boards, notes, tags, and product context you create in SnapMuse ("Your Content"). You grant us a limited license to store and process Your Content solely to operate and provide the service to you.
You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to save and process the metadata and links you add to SnapMuse.
6. AI-Generated Content
SnapMuse uses third-party AI models to generate analysis and scripts. AI outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, or generic, and are provided for inspiration only. You are responsible for reviewing and validating any AI-generated content before relying on or publishing it.
To the extent permitted by law and by the underlying model providers, you may use the AI outputs you generate for your own creative work. Exported content may include an unobtrusive "Made with SnapMuse" attribution.
7. Intellectual Property
SnapMuse, including its software, design, trademarks, and Prompt engineering, is owned by its operator and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to our trademarks or branding except as needed to use the service.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI outputs will meet your expectations.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SnapMuse will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.
10. Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or use the service in a way that risks harm to SnapMuse, other users, or third parties. You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time.
11. Changes to the Service and Terms
We may modify the service or these Terms from time to time. We will post updates on this page and revise the "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
12. Governing Law and Contact
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where our operator is established, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Nothing in these Terms overrides mandatory consumer protection laws that apply in your country of residence; if there is a conflict, those mandatory protections prevail.
SnapMuse is operated by an individual. If you have questions about these Terms, contact us at support@snapmuse.app.
